The minimum wage in June 2026: will there be an increase?
The subsistence minimum levels set out in the state budget will also remain in force in June 2026.
In June 2026, the minimum wage in Ukraine remains at 8,647 UAH. The proposal to increase it to 11,183 UAH from July has already been withdrawn.

This is confirmed by the Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2026” and the details of draft law No. 15224-5 on the Verkhovna Rada website.

In June 2026, the minimum wage in Ukraine will remain unchanged. It will remain at 8,647 UAH per month and 52 UAH per hour.

These figures are set out in the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2026. This law does not provide for a review of the minimum wage from 1 June.

After deduction of 18% personal income tax and 5% military levy, an employee on the minimum wage will receive approximately 6,658 UAH net.

What happened to the bill proposing 11,183 UAH

Bill No. 15224-5 was indeed registered in the Verkhovna Rada. It proposed increasing the minimum wage in 2026:

from 1 January – 8,647 UAH;

from 1 July – 11,183 UAH;

from 1 October – 12,160 UAH.

The document also provided for an increase in the minimum old-age pension and the subsistence minimum. The bill concerned amendments to the state budget regarding financial support for the security and defence sector, as well as social standards.

However, this document did not become law. The bill’s details on the Verkhovna Rada website state that it was heard and withdrawn from consideration on 28 May 2026.

Do employers need to increase salaries?

As of June 2026, employers have no grounds to be obliged to review salaries due to the increase in the minimum wage to 11,183 UAH, as this provision has not yet come into force.

The current minimum wage of 8,647 UAH remains mandatory. It is this figure that employers must use as a basis for calculating wages, social security contributions and other indicators linked to the minimum wage.

Had Bill No. 15224-5 been passed, it could have affected employees’ salaries, the pay of reserved workers, workers with disabilities, and employers’ calculations. However, following the withdrawal of the bill from consideration, these changes do not apply.

The subsistence minimum in June

In June 2026, the subsistence minimum figures set by the state budget also remain in force.

The general subsistence minimum is 3,209 UAH.

For able-bodied persons – 3,328 UAH.

For children under 6 years of age – 2,817 UAH.

For children aged 6 to 18 – 3,512 UAH.

For persons who have lost their ability to work – 2,595 UAH.

Therefore, the news about a possible increase in the minimum wage to 11,183 UAH concerned a legislative initiative, not a decision that has already been adopted. The current minimum wage for 2026 is 8,647 UAH.
