Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost a further 1,140 troops in the war against Ukraine. The Defence Forces have also destroyed dozens of pieces of military equipment, including artillery systems and multiple launch rocket systems.

The total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of 2 July 2026, stand at approximately 1,405,900 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, the Russian Armed Forces have lost a further 1,140 soldiers.

These figures were released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, Russia has lost 12,069 tanks, 24,861 armoured combat vehicles and 45,168 artillery systems.

Losses of multiple launch rocket systems have risen to 1,910 units. Over the past day, the Defence Forces destroyed a further seven MLRS systems.

The Russian army has also lost 1,459 air defence systems, 436 aircraft and 353 helicopters.

The number of operational-tactical-level drones destroyed has reached 385,190. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military has destroyed a further 2,123 UAVs.

In addition, Russia lost 4,798 cruise missiles, 33 ships or boats, and two submarines.

Losses of motor vehicles and tankers have risen to 114,852 units. A further 353 units were destroyed over the past 24 hours.

Russia also lost 4,376 units of specialised equipment and 1,791 ground-based robotic systems.

The General Staff noted that the figures are being finalised.
