The Russians are urgently evacuating their troops from the Kinburn Spit — ATESH
This has been reported by the ‘ATESH’ movement.
An agent of the movement from the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces’ “Dnipro” group reported that the efforts of the Ukrainian Defence Forces to cut off the occupiers’ supply routes had forced them to evacuate hastily from the Kinburn Spit.
The informant noted that units of the 337th Regiment are leaving their positions, and supplies have been completely halted. In particular, the delivery of ammunition, fuel and food to the Spit has completely stopped.
Furthermore, the personnel of the 337th Regiment’s units have suffered significant losses, which was another reason for their withdrawal from the coastline in the northern and western parts of the Spit.
“The fire teams are unable to cope with shooting down enemy UAVs, and losses continue to mount. After some of the troops were redeployed to the Zaporizhzhia sector, the remaining units have practically lost their personnel. No reinforcements have been sent at all,” noted “ATESH”.
As a result, only the remnants of units remain on the spit, which are no longer able to hold the defence. Meanwhile, the logistics system in this area has completely collapsed.
As the Institute for the Study of War explained several years ago, the Kinburn Spit is of significant strategic importance for the further de-occupation of southern Ukraine. It allows control over the entrance to the Dnipro and Southern Bug rivers, as well as the ports of Mykolaiv and Kherson.
Control of the Kinburn Spit could enable the Ukrainian Armed Forces to weaken Russian strikes along the Black Sea coast, increase naval activity in the area, and conduct potential operations to cross to the left bank of the Kherson region.
