The claim is based on materials from the NACP and evidence gathered by the SAPO prosecutor.
A prosecutor from the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has filed a claim with the High Anti-Corruption Court seeking a ruling that the assets of the president of one of the district courts in Vinnytsia Oblast are of unjustified origin. The case concerns property in Kyiv and rental income totalling over 6.8 million hryvnias.

This was reported by the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

The Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has filed a claim with the High Anti-Corruption Court regarding the assets of the head of one of the district courts in Vinnytsia region.

The prosecutor is seeking to have these assets declared unjustified and to have them confiscated for the state.

The case concerns a three-bedroom and a one-bedroom flat in Kyiv, acquired between 2020 and 2021.

The lawsuit also mentions at least 142,000 UAH in income received from renting out one of the flats.

The total value of the assets that the SAPO considers unjustified amounts to over 6.8 million UAH.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the property is registered in the names of the judge’s close relatives.

At the same time, the evidence gathered, as the SAPO claims, indicates that the official’s family actually owns these properties.

In particular, the judge’s daughter lived in one of the flats.

The judge himself, according to the prosecutor’s office, was frequently present at the address of this property during holidays and at weekends.

The other flat was let out, and the rental income was paid into the accounts of the judge’s daughter and mother-in-law.

What the financial analysis revealed

According to the SAP, the financial analysis showed that the official owners of the property did not have sufficient legal income to make such purchases.

The prosecution also notes that the judge and his wife’s actual legal income during this period was significantly lower than the value of the assets.

The difference between the value of the property and the confirmed income amounts to over 5.5 million hryvnias.

The SAP emphasises that this sum significantly exceeds the threshold established by law.

The claim is based on materials from the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) and evidence gathered by the SAPO prosecutor.

According to the prosecution, this evidence confirms the official’s actual control over the property.

Pending the outcome of the case, the court has placed a freeze on the property in question. This has been done to prevent its possible unlawful disposal.
