Timur Tkachenko has submitted his resignation as head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. This has been reported by sources at Novyny.LIVE.
According to available information, the search for a candidate to head the administration is already underway.
Timur Tkachenko was appointed head of the Kyiv City Military Administration on 31 December 2024. He succeeded Serhiy Popko in this role.
During his tenure, Tkachenko focused on strengthening the capital’s defences and upgrading warning systems. There are also reports of improved coordination between mobile fire teams and city services, which has enhanced the effectiveness of countermeasures against drones.
In addition, during his tenure, the South Bridge was opened, taxis were permitted to operate during curfew, and a daily minute’s silence was introduced on Khreshchatyk.
