A documentary film about Azov tankers will be presented in Kyiv
On 21 January, the premiere of the documentary film Captain: Stories of Azov Tankers is scheduled to take place at the House of Cinema in Kyiv. The creative team and the film's protagonists will attend the event. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
The documentary is dedicated to the formation and development of the tank battalion of the 12th Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov." The plot focuses on the personal stories of tankers, their character and motivation, as well as their service in the most difficult areas of the front.
The film covers the key stages of the unit's combat path, in particular the Pavlopil-Shyrokyne operation, the defence of Mariupol and the Azovstal metallurgical plant, the period of captivity and the return of the soldiers to the ranks, as well as battles in critical areas.
The film was created with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The screenplay was written and directed by Kostyantyn Konovalov, and produced by Maksym Movchan.
The screening will begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free for viewers.
