On the night of 8 March, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the city of Armavir in the Krasnodar Krai after a drone attack. The fire engulfed fuel tanks on the premises.

In the Krasnodar region of Russia, on the night of 8 March, following a drone attack, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the city of Armavir. The fire started at the Armavir linear production dispatch station.

According to information from the region's operational headquarters, fuel tanks caught fire.

As of the morning, the fire had been localised to an area of 700 square metres. A total of 120 people and 38 pieces of equipment, including units from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, were involved in extinguishing the fire. It was later reported that the fire had been extinguished.

The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation stated that during the night, air defence systems shot down or intercepted 72 drones over the territory of Russia and the occupied Crimea. In particular, according to their data, four drones were destroyed in the Krasnodar Territory.

According to the ministry, 20 drones were shot down over the Astrakhan region, another 20 over occupied Crimea, 14 over the Rostov region, 8 over the Belgorod region, 3 over the Kursk region, 2 over the Volgograd region, and one over the Azov Sea.

Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar said that the drone attacks were repelled in the Chertkovsky, Millerovsky and Morozovsky districts. According to him, there were no reports of casualties or damage.

Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the region had been subjected to a massive missile strike. According to him, energy infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Power, water and heat supply disruptions were reported in Belgorod and neighbouring municipalities. Three apartments in two apartment buildings, an administrative building of an enterprise and five vehicles were also damaged.

According to regional authorities, three people were injured in the Belgorod region as a result of drone attacks during the day. In Belgorod, a civilian suffered barotrauma, in the village of Gruzskoye, a man was injured after a drone detonated, and in the village of Rzhevka in the Shebekinsky district, a civilian suffered shrapnel wounds to his legs after an FPV drone exploded.

The head of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, said that 33 drones were shot down over the region during the night. According to him, artillery was also used 46 times during the night in the evacuated areas, and drones dropped explosive devices 13 times.
