Ukrainian interceptor drones have learned to shoot down 'Shaheds' autonomously: how it works

A member of Brave1 has developed technology that automates 95% of the entire interception process — from launching the drone to destroying Russian ‘Shahed’ drones.

This was announced by Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

The technology works as follows: the operator sees the movement of targets in real time, selects one of them and gives the command to attack. The system then autonomously guides the drone to the target, automatically recognises and locks onto the Shahed.

“Autonomy is one of the key areas of development in modern air defence. Such technologies enable a faster response to massive attacks and more effective protection of Ukrainian cities,” Fedorov emphasised.

As a reminder, earlier the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that in May the Defence Forces had liberated almost 100 square kilometres of territory.
