Ukraine will not give up its territories, Zelenskyy said
Ukraine is not considering the possibility of concessions to Russia regarding territories. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with journalists. He stressed that neither under Ukrainian law, nor under the Constitution, nor under international law does the state have the right to give up its lands.
According to the head of state, Russia insists on the transfer of territories, but Kyiv does not accept this. Zelensky stressed that Ukraine is fighting precisely to preserve its borders and has no moral right to compromise.
The President also said that the United States is working to find compromises that could satisfy both sides, but Ukraine's position remains unchanged. The issue of reparations is also key. Zelensky expressed confidence that a decision will be made and that frozen Russian assets should be used to rebuild Ukraine or for its defence if the war continues.
He noted that European leaders understand the need for financing. Kyiv is counting on these funds and expects the corresponding tranches.
