Ukrainian Roman Maslov set a national record on the summit of Kilimanjaro
This was reported by The Public, citing information about the athlete's achievements.
The ascent took place in February 2026. Uhuru Peak is located at an altitude of 5,895 metres above sea level and is the highest point of Kilimanjaro and the entire African continent.
While at the summit, Roman Maslov unfurled a 3×4.5-metre Ukrainian flag. This achievement was recorded as a Ukrainian national record in the Sports and Dimensions category.
It is noted that unfurling a flag of this size at such a high altitude requires considerable physical training and endurance due to the difficult conditions of the high mountains.
The event took place in Tanzania and became one of the Ukrainian's recorded sporting achievements during his ascent of one of the world's most famous peaks.
