Ukraine is set to be hit by severe frosts: a Level II hazard warning has been issued
This has been reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.
Cold snap forecast
Dangerous weather conditions will affect the country in several stages:

20 April: overnight in the northern, eastern and most central regions, ground frosts of 0–3° are expected (yellow alert). In the north-east of the country — air frosts of 0–3° (orange alert).

21 April: in most western, central and Kharkiv regions — ground frosts of 0–3°C. In the northern regions — air frosts of 0–3°C (orange alert).

22 April: ground frosts will spread across the whole of Ukraine, except for the south-east. Meanwhile, in the western, northern and most central regions, a dangerous drop in air temperature to 0–3° is expected (orange level).
Consequences and risks
Such a drop in temperature in the second half of April is critical for agriculture. Meteorologists highlight the threat to seedlings, fruit trees and early crops. Citizens are advised to take measures to protect heat-loving plants.
