Ukrposhta has issued a stamp featuring bomb disposal experts and displayed a bomb disposal vehicle in Kyiv
A presentation and special cancellation ceremony for the postage stamp issue “Bringing Life Back: Demining Heroes”, dedicated to Ukrainian deminers, took place on Independence Square near the Main Post Office in Kyiv. This was announced by the Public and Media Relations Department.
The project was implemented with the support of the Croatian manufacturer of demining vehicles, DOK-ING, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service. Its aim was to honour the daily work of deminers who clear Ukrainian territories of explosive ordnance and restore people’s ability to live, work and rebuild their communities.
Ihor Bezkaravayny, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, stated that demining is an extremely important task for the future of the state. According to him, the authorities are striving to support the deminers, simplify and accelerate this process, so as to restore safety to Ukrainian land as quickly as possible. He also thanked partners, notably DOK-ING, for the equipment that protects people, and emphasised that even in difficult conditions, Ukrainian deminers remain safe.
The statement notes that since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has remained one of the most heavily mined countries in the world. Deminers from the State Emergency Service (SES) and the State Specialised Service (SSS) have already cleared hundreds of thousands of hectares of land, working daily in high-risk conditions. Modern equipment is actively used in this work, including 69 DOK-ING machines, which have already cleared over 30 million square metres.
Severin Lubkivsky, DOK-ING’s Development Director in Ukraine, stated that it is a great honour for the company to dedicate this mail-order release to Ukrainian deminers. In his words, without their work, there can be no talk of recovery and development, and the project itself has become a symbol of respect and gratitude. He also noted that the company supports the deminers with life-saving equipment and solutions, and that machines based on these technologies are already being manufactured in Ukraine thanks to localisation and cooperation with Ukrainian partners.
The central element of the postage stamp issue is an illustration combining the image of a sapper with demining symbols. Depicted alongside is the ‘Nadiya’ vehicle – the DOK-ING MV-10 robotic demining system, which, according to the organisers, has proven its effectiveness in real-world conditions.
The statement notes that last year this machine withstood a direct hit from an enemy UAV. Thanks to remote control, the operators remained unharmed, and A3tech was able to repair the equipment in record time.

During the event, visitors were able to see the DOK-ING MV-10 demining vehicle on public display for the first time. The 20-tonne system, equipped with specialised mechanisms for neutralising explosive ordnance, was presented in the centre of Kyiv for just one day. After that, it is to be returned to service in the field.
The postal issue consists of a sheet of nine stamps, an art envelope and a postcard. From 19 March, it will be available for purchase from the official Ukrposhta online shop, as well as in Kyiv’s philatelic shops.
