Ukrzaliznytsia honours the memory of deceased passengers
A minute of silence is dedicated to both Ukrainian military personnel and the passengers who lost their lives.
Railway workers across the country joined in a minute's silence and changed the traditional train departure ceremonies.

Ukrzaliznytsia lowered state flags at all railway stations in Ukraine as a sign of mourning for the passengers who died as a result of a Russian drone attack on a passenger train on 27 January.

The company said that today's minute of silence is dedicated to both Ukrainian soldiers who died defending their country and passengers whose lives were cut short by yesterday's attack by Russia.

It is also noted that throughout the day, flagship trains, which traditionally depart to the accompaniment of music, will depart in silence — as a symbol of mourning and remembrance.

Ukrzaliznytsia emphasised that rail traffic continues, but on this day — with pain and remembrance of the victims.
