Three Ukrainian bloggers detained in Japan
This is reported by thepublic.info citing the Japanese public broadcasting corporation NHK.
The incident occurred on September 24 in the town of Okuma near Fukushima. Ukrainians infiltrated the town for content for their YouTube channel, despite access being restricted due to the nuclear accident in 2011.
According to police, the detainees were 34-year-old Anatoliy Dibak, who identified himself as an office worker, 29-year-old driver Vladislav Savinov, and 43-year-old electrician Oleksandr Kryukov. All three run the blog "URBANIX" on Telegram and YouTube, where they showcase abandoned locations.
The police reported that they learned about the intrusion through an anonymous message received at the station on the evening of September 23. The message stated that videos were being streamed on YouTube showing foreigners entering a building.
In Savinov's Telegram channel, he confirmed that he participated in a trip to the exclusion zone near Fukushima, during which they even launched a drone at a distance of 200 meters from the nuclear power plant itself.
"There will be a lot of editing. It will be very difficult to assemble everything. Four bloggers, each with sound/action camera/main camera, and drones. Overall, the editing will be hellish. However, when everything is finished — you will see truly awesome content from the Fukushima Exclusion Zone. The last planned episode from this trip is officially shot. I am satisfied with the material, even though I had planned to film completely differently. There was sweat, tears, and radioactive green spiders the size of my face," wrote the blogger.
