Iran's tallest strategic bridge, the B1, has been destroyed
This was reported by CBS News.
Iranian media reported that a ‘Nature Day’ celebration was taking place beneath the bridge. The bridge itself was undergoing renovation.
Bridge B1 was built approximately 500 metres from the old structure in early 2026. Iranian propaganda actively promoted it as one of the tallest structures in West Asia. The bridge spanned the Karaj River valley above the Beylkan Reservoir and was designed to handle up to 60,000 vehicles per day. Its destruction could significantly complicate logistics between the capital and Iran’s western provinces, particularly amid the ongoing conflict.
US President Donald Trump posted a video of the destroyed bridge on Truth.
“Iran’s largest bridge is falling down, it will never be used again – to be continued,” he wrote.
