Funds under the "yeYasla" programme are beginning to be received by 1,370 people.
The payment amounts to 8,000 hryvnia per month if the mother, father or guardian returns to work after the child turns 1 year old. The funds received can be used to pay for the services of a nanny, assistant or kindergarten.
Separately, childcare benefits for children under 1 year of age have been paid to more than 46,000 families. Since the beginning of this year, the monthly childcare benefit for children under 1 year of age has been 7,000 hryvnias.
Special accounts for receiving these funds can now be opened at Oschadbank.
The government is working to expand the possibilities for submitting applications, in particular through the Diya app. Receiving childcare benefits should be as simple, understandable and convenient as possible for families.
In addition, other payments continue to be made: pregnancy and childbirth benefits and a one-time payment of 50,000 hryvnias upon the birth of a child.
