Ihor Strohyi has been appointed head of the High Anti-Corruption Court

Ihor Strohyi has been appointed President of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC). The HACC reports that this decision was taken at a meeting of the court’s judges. Dmytro Mykhailenko, a judge of the HACC’s Appeals Chamber, has been appointed Strohyi’s deputy.

Strogyi has worked at the High Anti-Corruption Court since its establishment in 2019. Prior to that, he served as a judge at the Shargorod District Court in Vinnytsia Oblast for seven years.

The head of the High Anti-Corruption Court is elected for a three-year term. From 7 May 2019 to 6 May 2022, Olena Tanasevych served as head of the High Anti-Corruption Court. She was succeeded by Oleg Pavlyshyn, who had the longest judicial experience. From 14 February 2023, the court has been headed by Vira Mykhailenko.
