Attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, between the evening of 12 May and the morning of 13 May 2026, eight people were killed and a further 11 were injured as a result of Russian attacks.

This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.

He noted that the enemy had attacked three districts of the region nearly 30 times. And at 10:00, he added that at that time there were more than a hundred Russian drones in the sky above the region.

“There may be further waves of drone attacks throughout the day. Russia is continuing its strikes and doing so brazenly – deliberately targeting our railway infrastructure and civilian facilities in towns,” emphasised Hanzha.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk, Myrivka, Pokrovsk and Chervonohryhorivka were affected.

Infrastructure, private homes and cars were damaged. Three people were injured. A 16-year-old boy was hospitalised in a moderately serious condition. Another 16-year-old and a 21-year-old are receiving outpatient treatment.

In the Synelnykivka district, the Dubovykivska and Mykolaivska communities were hit. More than twenty houses were destroyed. Two people were killed.

A further nine homes were damaged by a strike on the district the day before. Four people were killed and four others injured. Three of them were hospitalised. A 50-year-old man is in a serious condition.

In Kryvyi Rih, a business, infrastructure and a gas pipeline were damaged. A 65-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were killed. Several more people were injured.

In particular, a nine-month-old girl had her leg torn off.

The head of the regional military administration reported this morning that she remains in a ‘serious’ condition and is being transported to the regional hospital in Dnipro.

Russia is facing mounting pressure due to the situation on the front line, economic problems and strikes by Ukrainian drones on its territory. European officials suggest that Moscow’s increasingly aggressive rhetoric may be linked to attempts to restart the negotiation process on its own terms.
