Which European countries does Ukraine trade with most actively
Ukraine imported goods totaling $52.6 billion and exported $26.4 billion over the eight months of this year. Ukrainians most frequently purchased goods from Poland, Germany, and Italy. These same countries lead the list of those to whom Ukraine sold its own goods and products, writes «Slovo i Dilo».
According to the Customs Service, Poland is Ukraine's largest active trading partner among European countries. Over the eight months of this year, Ukraine exported goods to Poland worth $3,263.8 million. Meanwhile, the volume of imports from Poland was significantly higher – $5,014.4 million.
In second place among exporting countries is Germany: since the beginning of this year, Ukraine has sold goods worth $1,529.7 million to Germany. Imports from Germany amounted to $4,239.8 million.
Exports to Italy over the eight months reached $1,417.4 million, to the Netherlands – $1,284.5 million, to Spain – $1,203.9 million.
Romania purchased Ukrainian goods worth $929.9 million this year, Hungary – $870.1 million, Moldova – $732.2 million, Bulgaria – $687.5 million, the Czech Republic – $640.7 million, France – $513.8 million, Britain – $414.7 million, Portugal – $67.4 million. The minimal export was to Iceland – $1.8 million.
Besides Poland, in 2025 Ukraine imported the most goods from Germany – $4,239.8 million. Next in the ranking of importing countries is Italy ($1,665.7 million). Imports from the Czech Republic amounted to $1,513.8 million, Slovakia – $1,451.8 million. From France – $1,323.8 million, Britain – $944.3 million.
Ukraine had approximately the same volume of imports from Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, Austria, and Belgium.
The minimal import volume was from Malta ($6.5 million) and Belarus ($3 million).
