Zelenskyy has announced personnel changes in the ministries and a restructuring of state-owned enterprises
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced personnel changes within the government at the level of deputy ministers. He has also instructed that a transparent and professional selection process be held to appoint a new head of the company Lisy Ukrainy.

Zelenskyy made this announcement following a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on Wednesday, 6 May.

“In the near future, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will make changes at the level of deputy ministers. It is important that there is effective communication with parliamentarians regarding vacant ministerial posts,” said the head of state.

The President also noted that certain state-owned enterprises must be promptly restructured.

In particular, a transparent and professional competition is needed for the post of the new head of the company “Lisy Ukrainy”. Furthermore, according to Zelenskyy, the sector as a whole requires new approaches — “more modern, clean and capable of supporting state revenues”.

He also instructed Svyrydenko to speed up the process of change in state-owned energy companies, primarily at “Energoatom”.

Zelenskyy says that a new supervisory board has already been formed, and the appointment of a new head should be expedited. According to him, all the necessary tools and powers are in place for this.

On 28 April, following a meeting with Svyrydenko, Zelenskyy stated that new personnel policies were being prepared for state-owned companies, including the state-owned enterprise “Lisy Ukrainy”.

On the same day, in an evening address, the president added that some state-owned companies are still not working in Ukraine’s interests or for the state budget, and that the Cabinet of Ministers and the companies themselves must rectify this.
