The main state enterprises in the Ukrainian energy sector will be completely rebooted.

The main state enterprises in the Ukrainian energy sector will be completely rebooted. Alongside the financial audit, the management will be fully renewed. This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

"Alongside a full review of financial activities, there should be an update of the management of these companies. Today, together with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Sviridenko, and the Minister of Economy, Oleksiy Sobolev, we have outlined the plan of action," - reported the president.

 The following steps are planned:

  • "Energoatom": within a week, orders will be issued to create conditions for forming a new supervisory board and a complete overhaul of the management.
  • "Ukrhydroenergo": an urgent competition will be held for a new company leader and the formation of a supervisory board.
  • Operator of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine: a competition for the position of general director and the formation of a supervisory board.
  • "Naftogaz of Ukraine": current supervisory board contracts will end in January 2026. From January, a completely new board should be in place.

"In other major energy state companies, there will be an update of the state's representatives on the supervisory boards," - Zelensky noted.

Additionally, the president stated that government officials have received instructions to maintain constant communication with law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies.

"Any detected scheme within the companies must and will receive an immediate and fair response. Full transparency and integrity of processes in the energy sector are an absolute priority," - summarized the president.
