Zelenskyy presented Charles III with an iPad containing information on the front line and Russian strikes
Zelenskyy made this statement during an address to the UK Parliament.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had presented King Charles III of the United Kingdom with an iPad, which allows him to monitor the situation on the front line, air and sea threats to Ukraine, and long-range strikes against Russia online.
According to the president, similar tablets with special software are already being used by himself, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and the senior military command.
Zelenskyy did not name the software. However, it is noted that the Ukrainian army uses the Delta situational awareness system, which collects intelligence and analyses it in real time, including through the use of artificial intelligence.
The President claims that this system allows them to see not only the front line itself, but also “every enemy killed” with video confirmation.
Separately, Zelenskyy stated that such iPads display in real time “every strike” in Ukraine’s airspace and maritime zone, as well as long-range attacks on Russian territory.
According to him, this gives the Ukrainian authorities operational control over public safety, the state of infrastructure and the energy sector.
The President also said that such technologies may eventually become available not only to heads of state and defence ministers, but also to ordinary citizens. In his view, this will enable people not merely to trust the authorities’ decisions on security matters, but to see for themselves exactly what is being done to protect them.
Separately, Zelenskyy emphasised that the system allows for detailed tracking of every large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine – launch sites, flight paths and probable targets. At the same time, it shows how the Ukrainian defence is responding to these strikes in real time.
According to the president, the current interception rate for Russian targets stands at approximately 87%. He added that this figure could be higher if Ukraine had sufficient investment in its defence industry and the necessary number of missiles for the Patriot systems to intercept ballistic missiles.
It is these two factors that Zelenskyy cited as Ukraine’s main shortcomings.
Finally, he explained that he had given such an iPad to the British monarch “just like that” – as a sign of respect, gratitude and a step towards strengthening cooperation between Kyiv and London.
According to the president, during the audience, Charles III asked if he had another such tablet. Zelenskyy replied that he only had his own device left, which he could not give away. In response, the king, as recounted by the head of state, said he would share the gifted iPad with the prime minister.
The article also notes that in the UK, the monarch performs mainly ceremonial functions, whilst real power is concentrated in Parliament and the government.
During the same speech, Zelenskyy also announced that 201 Ukrainian specialists are already working in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region to counter Iranian Shahed drones, with a further 34 specialists ready for deployment.
