Zelenskyy arrives in Istanbul: key points from his meeting with Erdoğan

The President of Ukraine’s visit to Turkey aims to coordinate joint efforts to stabilise the situation in the Black Sea region and beyond. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasised that cooperation with Ankara is critically important for ensuring security in the current circumstances.
“I have arrived in Istanbul, where important meetings are scheduled. Substantive talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have been prepared,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel.
Joint outcomes
It is expected that during the talks, the leaders will discuss not only defence cooperation but also steps towards bringing stability to Europe and the Middle East.
“Joint efforts always yield the best results,” the President emphasised, commenting on plans to strengthen the partnership to protect people’s lives.
