President of Ukraine briefed Frank-Walter Steinmeier on negotiations with the United States and thanked Germany for its leadership in supporting Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Germany for its leadership in assisting the Ukrainian people since the beginning of the full-scale war during a meeting with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin.

The Head of State informed the German President on the progress of work with the American side aimed at achieving a just peace, obtaining reliable security guarantees and launching Ukraine's economic recovery. According to Zelenskyy, the key issues remain the protection of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests of the state.

The President emphasised Germany's principled position in supporting Ukraine and thanked for its consistent solidarity. Germany remains one of Ukraine's largest partners in Europe in terms of military, financial and humanitarian assistance, which since 2022 has amounted to tens of billions of euros.
