The Security Service of Ukraine has carried out a successful strike on the ‘Saki’ military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea as part of a 40-day operation aimed at exerting pressure on Russia.

The operation targeted the airfield’s infrastructure, in particular the hangars where aircraft were stored.

It has been confirmed that SBU drones struck the hangars on the military facility’s grounds five times.

According to preliminary information, Su-30 and Su-30SM fighter jets were present in two of the hangars at the time of the strike.

Following the attack, a fire was reported in the hangar where the Su-30SM was located, indicating that the target had been hit.

The estimated cost of a single such fighter jet ranges from 30 to 50 million US dollars, depending on the configuration.
