What was discussed during the meeting

According to the Head of State, he thanked Serhiy Koretskyi for his work at the helm of ‘Ukrnafta’ and ‘Naftogaz’, noting that these companies operate in a sector of strategic importance to the country, where it is essential to safeguard national interests. The President emphasised that both state-owned companies have achieved their performance targets and are fulfilling the tasks set before them.

Russian attacks pose new challenges

Particular attention was paid during the meeting to the consequences of Russian strikes on energy infrastructure. Zelenskyy noted that the attacks are causing damage to facilities in border and frontline regions, as well as to petrol stations and other critical infrastructure.

Following the meeting, the parties discussed measures to strengthen the resilience of the energy system and ensure the fulfilment of objectives within the framework of the updated state policy.
