ЗСУ вдарили ATACMS по території Росії - Генштаб
The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully used ATACMS tactical missile systems to deliver precise strikes on military targets on Russian territory, states the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"This is a landmark event that underscores Ukraine's unwavering commitment to its sovereignty. Despite constant challenges from Russian offensives, Ukrainians remain resilient, demonstrating determination to persistently and systematically defend their homeland," the command's statement reads.
The General Staff assured that "the use of long-range strike weapons, including such as ATACMS, will continue."
In September, the WSJ reported that during a meeting in the corridors of the United Nations, Volodymyr Zelensky asked Donald Trump to provide Ukraine with more long-range missiles and to allow the use of such weapons to strike targets on Russian territory. Trump opposed this idea but did not make any commitments to lift the ban on such attacks.
