Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court has found former Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Andriy Derkach guilty of treason and illicit enrichment.
Serhiy Koretskyi, who heads Naftogaz and Ukrnafta, is being considered as one of the candidates for the post of Ukraine’s new prime minister. Speculation has intensified following his meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, although no official decision has yet been made regarding the replacement of the head of government.

The Council of the EU has approved an updated recovery and resilience plan for Hungary worth €10 billion. This paves the way for Budapest to access funds that had previously been blocked due to concerns over the rule of law, the anti-corruption system and the independence of the judiciary.

The government has approved a draft law on updating the National Programme for the decommissioning of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station and the transformation of the ‘Shelter’ facility into an environmentally safe system. The document provides for the programme to be extended until 2036, as well as additional measures following the damage caused to the arch of the New Safe Confinement by a Russian drone.
The increase in public transport fares in Kyiv to 30 UAH has not yet been implemented. The new prices were due to come into effect on 15 July, but the Kyiv City State Administration has explained that the approval process is still ongoing and that a final date for the increase has not yet been set.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that, following the NATO summit in Ankara, Ukraine will shortly receive a consignment of PAC-3 interceptor missiles from the US for its Patriot systems. Discussions are also ongoing with European partners regarding further deliveries.
