The Counter-Intelligence Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine has identified a member of the Hungarian military intelligence service who was in charge of an agent network in Zakarpattia. This refers to a network that was uncovered in the spring of 2025.

In the Chernivtsi region, detectives from the Economic Security Bureau have shut down an illegal cigarette manufacturing operation. The factory had the capacity to produce hundreds of thousands of packets a day.

The SBU and the National Police have announced the arrest in Poltava of two 16-year-old local residents suspected of plotting a terrorist attack against Ukrainian military personnel. According to the investigation, the minors, acting on instructions from the Russian Federation, had manufactured a homemade explosive device and were planning to plant it under a military vehicle.

Staff at the State Bureau of Investigations have concluded their pre-trial investigation into a former member of the Odessa City Council. The indictment has already been submitted to the court.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has appealed to the President of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine to impose sanctions on one of the suspects in the case concerning land fraud at the “Stolychny” market. The individual in question is a former Member of the Ukrainian Parliament from the now-banned Party of Regions, whom investigators have found to have long-standing financial ties with the aggressor state.

In Bucha, police have arrested a 21-year-old local man suspected of involvement in the explosions in the town. Two police officers were injured during the incident.

Law enforcement officers in Donetsk Oblast have arrested a man suspected of shooting a local police officer whilst he was on duty. The attacker turned out to be a 50-year-old resident of Sloviansk with a criminal record.

A US federal court has, at this stage, dismissed a lawsuit against OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, in which his sister, Annie Altman, accused her brother of sexual abuse which, she claimed, took place over many years during their childhood. The court ruled that the claims were filed too late, but allowed the claimant to file an amended complaint under a different legal provision.

The Yavoriv District Court in Lviv Oblast found a woman guilty of disseminating information about the dates and locations of the service of summonses within a closed Viber group. The court concluded that such actions obstructed the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a state of emergency, sentenced her to five years’ imprisonment, but suspended the sentence for a probationary period of one year.

Over the past 24 hours, Lithuanian border guards have prevented 18 people attempting to cross the border illegally from entering the country at the border with Belarus.

A federal court in San Francisco has found Elon Musk liable in a civil case brought by Twitter shareholders, who claimed that his public statements in 2022 artificially depressed the company’s share price during the $44 billion takeover deal. However, the jury found him liable for two specific statements but did not agree with a separate claim regarding an overarching fraudulent scheme.
