A blogger has been sentenced to 15 years for coordinating attacks on Kupiansk
This has been reported by the SBU
The agent collected data via a Telegram channel
According to the SBU, the convicted man was a resident of a frontline settlement and administered a Telegram channel with an audience of around 10,000 users. The investigation established that, under the guise of communicating with subscribers, the man was gathering information about the deployment locations and movement routes of Ukrainian military personnel. He personally verified the data obtained and then passed it on to his handler in the Russian Federation in the form of coordinates and photographs. In addition to gathering intelligence, the agent attempted to set fire to a Ukrainian military vehicle near Kupiansk. To this end, he tracked the vehicle and prepared a flammable mixture.
SBU officers detained the man whilst he was attempting to commit the crime. During searches, law enforcement officers seized a mobile phone containing evidence of contact with representatives of the Russian special services. The court found the defendant guilty of high treason committed under martial law, as well as of attempting to intentionally damage property.
