Scandal: serviceman and journalist Volodymyr Boyko accused MP Knyazhitskyi of lying about the military service of "EU" MPs and Andriy Parubiy
Recently, MP Mykola Knyazhytskyi commented on the statements of Mykhailo Stelniko, who was detained on suspicion of murdering Andriy Parubiy. He wrote that supposedly the son of Stelniko, a serviceman with the pseudonym «Lemberg», served in the same unit as the murdered Andriy Parubiy.
«I know the mother of «Lemberg», Mykhailo, who went missing. She is a well-known writer and photographer. I saw Mykhailo himself. He and a group of Lviv residents came then to the 206th battalion as volunteers… There was also Andriy Parubiy. His photo in uniform with weapons at checkpoints from those times. He («Lemberg») was with Andriy Parubiy at the beginning of the war, they were together in one unit.
In response to this post reacted former serviceman (discharged due to age), journalist Volodymyr Boiko, accusing the deputy of self-promotion: «Neither Parubiy nor Knyazhytskyi, nor other MPs from the «EU» faction ever served in the 206th separate battalion of the Territorial Defense. This story is solely aimed at people who believe that military service can be «signed up for», then «discharged»…
In fact, together with Mykhailo-Victor Stelniko, I served in the 206th separate battalion of the Territorial Defense (military unit A7375), not Parubiy, and I served there from March 5, 2022, to May 10, 2025, while Mykhailo-Victor served from March 4 to July 25, 2022…
«During those three weeks, when the battalion headquarters was on Lavrska Street in Kyiv, Parubiy, Knyazhytskyi, and other «people's representatives» had access to the unit with military uniforms and weapons. They used this access to change into «pixel», take rifles in hand, and take photos for social networks. One such photo with Parubiy was taken on March 8, 2022 – and now, based on this photo, Knyazhytskyi claims that he, Parubiy, and other MPs from «EU» «served» together with Mykhailo-Victor Stelniko (and, I note, with me) in one military unit», - wrote Boiko and added a photo of the military oath taken by «Lemberg»: «In the photo: recruit Stelniko takes the Military Oath on April 10, 2022 (photographed by me)».

In turn, in response to Boiko's accusations, Mykola Knyazhytskyi responded, stating that he and his comrades, although not serving in the army, «signed up immediately after the invasion».
«Most of the heroes and patriots are in the Armed Forces, but the army is a cross-section of society. Therefore, there are traitors, scoundrels, and simply liars there as well. One of these, a well-known person, started accusing me of lying. Saying I claimed I served with Andriy Parubiy in the 206th battalion, but I never served there. I never claimed that we served there. In one of my previous posts, I wrote that we signed up immediately after the invasion. The battalion was based in Kyiv on Lavrska. And not by chance. Poroshenko provided a place in the office. There were large shelters where weapons could be stored and people protected. And we thought that Putin wouldn't launch rockets at Lavra, as it is nearby. And in the first days of the invasion, we signed into the battalion's logs, like everyone else. Most of the EU deputies did the same. We trained, stood at checkpoints, went on evacuations. Many received weapons in the battalion. From there, the photos of Andriy, Volodya Vyatrovych, and many other deputies came», - wrote Knyazhytskyi.
«Later, when the threat of the occupation of Kyiv passed, we faced a choice: continue working in the Verkhovna Rada or mobilize… If the enemy had entered Kyiv, we would have defended the capital to the last. Therefore, all the photos of Andriy and other colleagues are genuine. I described the situation accurately», - added the MP.
