Budanov has promised to tackle "excesses" during the mobilisation

Керівник Офісу президента Кирило Буданов пообіцяв боротися з "ексцесами" під час мобілізації всіма можливими засобами. Втім, він наголосив, що мобілізація в Україні має продовжуватися.

Budanov made this statement to The Times.

According to Budanov, the recruitment of volunteers is unable to meet the army’s manpower requirements.

“This is impossible due to economic problems and impossible because, after 12 and a half years of war, there is nothing to motivate such a large number of people to enlist voluntarily,” said the head of the Presidential Office.

Budanov promised to tackle "excesses" by conscription officers, who were caught on camera beating recruits "by any means necessary", but stressed that mobilisation must continue.

"We are currently waging the most horrific full-scale, total war. A war in which millions are involved. There is no other way. Otherwise, the country will simply collapse," he stated.

As a reminder, a red notebook containing a “list” was previously spotted in a photo of Kirill Budanov taken on Bankova Street.
