On the eve of International Women's Day, almost half of Ukrainian women expect to receive greetings. At the same time, a significant proportion of women do not expect gifts, and some consider a donation to be the best greeting.

This was reported by the Rakuten Viber team based on the results of a survey conducted on the service's official channel.

On the eve of 8 March, the Rakuten Viber team conducted a survey to find out whether Ukrainian women expect to receive greetings on International Women's Day.

More than 30,000 Ukrainian women took part in the survey.

According to the survey results, 39% of respondents expect gifts from their loved ones. Another 9% hope to receive gifts from both loved ones and at work, university or school.

At the same time, 27% of respondents said they do not expect any greetings.

Another 19% of respondents expect only verbal greetings or messages.

In addition, 6% of women consider a donation to be the best gift.

Rakuten Viber also compared this data with the results of a similar survey conducted in 2025.

In particular, the proportion of women who expect gifts only from their loved ones increased from 35% to 39%.

The number of those who do not expect greetings increased from 25% to 27%.

The proportion of respondents who expect only verbal greetings or messages also increased from 16% to 19%.

On the other hand, the proportion of those who expect gifts from both their loved ones and at work or school decreased from 10% to 9%.

The largest decrease was in the proportion of women who consider donations to be the best gift — from 14% in 2025 to 6% in 2026.

According to Rakuten Viber, the survey was conducted anonymously online. The

main age group of respondents was 34 to 45 years old. At the same time, more than half of the survey participants were younger than 45.
