Consumers in six regions have been left without power due to attacks and bad weather

The company noted that the enemy continues to attack Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure: as a result of Russian drone and artillery strikes this morning, new power cuts have been recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Sumy regions. Where security conditions permit, emergency repair work is already underway.
In addition, due to bad weather – thunderstorms, hail and gusts of wind – 228 settlements in five regions were left completely or partially without power this morning: Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Kyiv and Poltava. Repair teams from the regional power companies are already restoring the damaged power lines.
According to the company, electricity consumption is showing an upward trend: as of 09:30 on 28 July, it was 6 per cent higher than at the same time the previous day – Monday. The reason for this is cloudy weather with rain in some regions, which reduces the efficiency of domestic solar power stations, thereby increasing the load on the overall grid.
On 27 July, the daily peak in consumption was recorded in the evening, and it was 3.9% higher than the peak on the previous working day – Friday, 24 July. The increase was due to a significant rise in air temperature, which prompted consumers to use their air conditioners more actively.
