Where to watch the Usyk vs Verhoeven fight
Kyivstar TV has become the official broadcaster of the WBC, WBA and IBF world heavyweight title fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Dutch boxer Rico Verhoeven. This was reported by The Public, citing Sport.ua.
The bout will take place on 23 May 2026 in Egypt on the Giza Plateau near the pyramids. The Ukrainian boxer will be defending his WBC title in this fight.
Usyk’s opponent will be the world kickboxing champion. The bout has been unofficially dubbed ‘The King of Boxing vs The King of Kickboxing’.
Seven fights are scheduled for the undercard, four of which will be title bouts. In particular, there will be a bout for the status of IBF title challenger between Cuban Frank Sanchez and American Richard Torres Jr.
The winner of this bout could become Usyk’s next opponent, as Usyk holds the International Boxing Federation title.
Earlier, Oleksandr Usyk relinquished his WBO heavyweight title and lost his status as undisputed world champion. However, he retains his WBC, WBA and IBF belts.
The Ukrainian’s last fight took place in July 2025, when he knocked out Daniel Dubois in the fifth round. Following this victory, he became the undisputed world champion for the third time in his career.
It is also reported that Tyson Fury is considering the possibility of a third fight with Usyk upon his return to the professional ring.
