Where in Ukraine is there high demand for buying real estate
In August, high demand for real estate purchases was recorded not only in regions with million-plus cities but also in Chernivtsi, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and others.

This is discussed in a study by OLX Real Estate, reports Ekonomichna Pravda.

According to the analytics, in Chernivtsi region, there were about 15 responses per 1 apartment sale listing. For comparison: in August 2024, Chernivtsi region recorded 11 responses per 1 listing.

On average, 11 responses per 1 apartment sale listing were recorded in Volyn and Zhytomyr regions. In fourth place in demand are Lviv and Cherkasy regions, with approximately 10 responses per 1 listing.

In Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, in August 2025, there were about 8 responses per listing.

Regarding Kyiv and Odesa regions, in August 2025, an average of 3 responses per 1 listing was recorded, which is related to a higher supply of apartments for sale. The demand was at the same level in August 2024.

Regarding houses, analysts note that the highest number of responses per listing with a purchase offer was observed in Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.

In particular, Cherkasy region recorded about 12 responses per 1 sale listing on the platform. In second place is Kirovohrad region, with 10 responses per 1 listing, and third is Poltava, with 9 responses per 1 listing.

In several regions, demand in August was at the same level — approximately 6-7 responses per 1 listing. These include Volyn, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernivtsi, and Mykolaiv regions.

In the first half of the year in Ukraine, 51,557 new apartments were put into operation. This is 6.7% less than during the same period last year.
In August, in a significant part of Ukrainian regions, an increase in the cost per square meter on the primary market was observed. Meanwhile, the cost of secondary housing did not show a clear trend compared to July: prices fluctuated within a few percent in different regions. Year-over-year, there was an increase almost throughout the country.
