Researchers presented the top most reliable cars
The iSeeCars.com portal published a ranking of cars most likely to surpass the 400,000 km mark.

Research was based on the analysis of odometer readings of 402 million vehicles over the period since 2013. The average car has an 8.6% chance of reaching this mileage, but some models significantly exceed this indicator.

Both American and Japanese brands are included in the top ten most reliable.

In 10th place is the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with an 18.8% chance. Despite numerous recalls, this pickup remains one of General Motors' symbols of reliability.

In 9th position is the Lexus GX with a result of 20.7%. This is the only premium vehicle on the list that has confirmed its reputation as a durable SUV.

8th place is occupied by the Toyota Avalon sedan (22%). Although the model has been discontinued, many units are still actively in use.

The 7th spot goes to the Chevrolet Suburban with the same 22% indicator. This is the oldest model in the global automotive industry, produced since 1935.

The 6th position is held by the Honda Ridgeline pickup (25.8%), which proved that even an unconventional design can be extremely reliable.

In 5th place is the hybrid Toyota Highlander (25.9%), which became the most durable among crossovers.

Next come the legends of the Toyota brand.

The fourth position is awarded to the Tacoma pickup (26.7%), and third — the 4Runner (26.8%). Both models have established themselves as highly durable SUVs.

Silver went to the Toyota Sequoia (36.4%) — a three-row SUV that only trails the winner.

The ranking leader is the Toyota Tundra (36.6%). Despite issues with the new V6 engine, the company has completely addressed the shortcomings, maintaining its main value — the reputation for reliability.

Thus, the list once again confirms that Toyota confidently dominates the field of vehicle longevity, occupying seven out of ten positions.

«Modern cars are becoming increasingly durable: 30 models have a 12 to 36 percent probability of surpassing a quarter of a million miles», — said iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Bauer.

«Many consumers still believe that the service life of a car ends at 100,000 miles (160,000 km). However, our latest research on the longest-lasting cars confirms that even 200,000 miles (320,000 km) — is not the limit for many of them. The nine best cars in this year's list have over a 20 percent chance of reaching the 250,000-mile (400,000 km) mark».
