Former head of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Pavelko is wanted
The former president of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Pavelko has officially been included in the list of persons hiding from the pre-trial investigation. The relevant data is published on the website Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Wanted section.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Pavelko is classified as a fugitive. The date of his disappearance is 5 November 2025.
The former official is charged with misappropriation and embezzlement of property through abuse of office, as well as forgery. This is a criminal proceeding concerning the purchase of equipment for the construction of a plant for the production of artificial turf for football fields.
The investigation believes that in 2022, UAF officials, including Pavelko and the then general secretary of the organisation, Yuriy Zapisotskyi, could have seized UAH 26.5 million. Some of the funds, according to law enforcement, were subsequently legalised.
The court had previously imposed a two-month arrest as a preventive measure on the defendants with an alternative of bail of UAH 9.88 million, which was posted. In June 2023, the court again changed Pavelko's measure of restraint, choosing detention for 60 days. His whereabouts have not been officially established.
