Five categories of Ukrainians will receive payments ahead of Independence Day 2026
News regarding payments ahead of Independence Day 2026
The Pension Fund has clarified who will receive a one-off cash payment ahead of Ukraine’s Independence Day in 2026.

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted Resolution No. 602, which sets out the procedure and amounts for one-off cash payments to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day.

According to the Pension Fund, payments ranging from 450 to 3,100 UAH are provided for various categories of the population.

The money is to be paid as a one-off payment by 24 August 2026.

The largest payments

Individuals who have rendered special services to the Motherland will receive 3,100 UAH.

The same amount is provided for persons with Group I war-related disabilities and former child prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of forced detention, provided they are recognised as having a Group I disability.

For persons with war-related disabilities of Group II, the payment will be 2,900 UAH.

For persons with war-related disabilities of Group III, the payment is set at 2,700 UAH.

Combatants and participants in the Revolution of Dignity

Combatants will receive 1,000 UAH.

The same amount is provided for participants in the Revolution of Dignity who were injured.

UAH 1,000 will also be paid to former juvenile prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of forced detention.

This payment is also provided for children born in such places of forced detention of their parents.

Payments to families of the deceased

Family members of deceased or deceased war veterans, whose status complies with the Ukrainian law “On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection”, will receive 650 UAH each.

The same amount is provided for family members of deceased or deceased Defenders of Ukraine.

The payment will also be made to the spouses of deceased persons with war-related disabilities, provided they have not remarried.

In addition, 650 UAH is provided for the wives or husbands of deceased combatants, war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution who were recognised as disabled during their lifetime, provided they have not remarried.

Who will receive 450 UAH

War veterans will receive 450 UAH each.

The same payment is provided for former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of forced detention.

UAH 450 will also be paid to those who were forcibly taken away for forced labour.

Separately, this amount is provided for the children of partisans, underground fighters and other participants in the struggle against the National Socialist regime behind enemy lines.

When will the money be paid?

One-off cash payments to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day will be made by 24 August 2026.
