Global spending on AI is set to exceed $2 trillion this year
Global spending on artificial intelligence is set to rise by 47% by the end of 2026, reaching $2.6 trillion.
This is according to Gartner.
It is noted that the previous stages of funding in the sector were mainly driven by IT giants and cloud platform providers.
However, a mass entry into this market by traditional enterprises is now expected, making 2026 a defining year for the industry.
The trend towards increased investment will continue next year – spending is forecast to grow by a further 35%, enabling the artificial intelligence market to cross the $3.5 trillion mark.
