Power cut schedules in Ukraine on 18 March: when the power will be cut
Ukraine has introduced a power cut schedule for 18 March
On Wednesday, 18 March, rolling blackouts for domestic consumers were reinstated across Ukraine

On Wednesday, 18 March, rolling blackouts were introduced across Ukraine due to the aftermath of previous attacks on energy infrastructure and fresh shelling in several regions.

This was reported by Ukrenergo.

The Public explains where to find information on the schedules for potential power cuts in each region.

Why are power cuts happening again in Ukraine?

Due to night-time drone strikes on energy infrastructure and shelling of frontline areas, parts of the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions were left without power this morning. Where the security situation allows, emergency teams are already at work.

What schedules are in place in different regions of Ukraine

As of the morning of 18 March, electricity consumption was 11.1% higher than at the same time on Tuesday. The reason is cloudy weather in most regions, which means that domestic solar panels are generating almost no energy, whilst the load on the national grid is increasing. Consequently, restrictions are being imposed across Ukraine.
