In Ukraine, entrepreneurs who are registered as sole traders can open accounts with the state-owned PrivatBank. This service is available both online and at the bank’s branches. ThePublic explains how to do this.

ThePublic explains how to become a PrivatBank customer as a sole trader.

  • click on the Business tab – Payments – Accounts – Bank Account – For an entrepreneur (or legal entity) – Open an account;
  • complete the login process: enter your phone number and Privat24 password;

You will need to visit the bank with your passport and tax identification number. You will need to fill in a form at the branch, and a response regarding the account opening is usually received within a day. If there is a high volume of requests, the response may take a few days.

What else you need to know

As a reminder, the ‘Privat24 for Business’ app now features the ‘Single Onboarding’ service. This means that the bank’s business clients who work in retail and accept payments for goods or services can submit a single application for a range of services, including a POS terminal, the “Terminal” app, LiqPay, “Pay in Instalments” and “Instant Instalments”.
