In Vinnytsia, an eighth-grader brought a training grenade to school and it went off

A pupil brought a training grenade to a school in Vinnytsia. When it went off, two teenagers had to seek medical attention.

This was reported by the Vinnytsia Regional Police.

It is understood that at around 8.30 am, an eighth-year pupil brought a training grenade to school and left it on a desk. Two other pupils decided to pick up the grenade — at which point it detonated.

As a result, two teenagers sought medical attention complaining of a burning sensation in their eyes. Police are currently at the scene, and the full circumstances are being established.

The eighth-grader himself said that the item had been brought by a relative who is in the military.
