The number of unpaid fines for traffic violations has increased by 2.5 times
In the Unified Register of Debtors, for the first half of this year, 375,810 cases were recorded due to unpaid fines for traffic violations – this is less than last year, but one-third more than in 2023.

Compared to the period before the start of the full-scale war, debts and violations have increased by 2.5 times, reports "Opendatabot".

"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, not only has the number of unpaid fines increased, but the gender distribution of drivers has also changed – both in terms of quantity and percentage. The share of women who owe fines for traffic violations is growing year by year. While in the first half of 2021, women accounted for only 8% of cases, this year it is already 21%," the report states.

Among regions, Kyiv leads in traffic violations – 12%, or 43,654 cases. In second and third places are Dnipropetrovsk region – 36,879 cases, or 10%, and Odesa region – 29,502 cases, or 8%.

In total, the Unified Register of Debtors records 1.8 million unpaid debts due to traffic violations. The majority – 1.7 million – are attributed to men.

It is worth noting that the ERB is a dynamic register, where some debts are closed, while new ones may appear in their place. Therefore, the figures reflect the situation as of early July 2025.

To avoid entering the Debtors Register and risking card blocking, promptly check and pay traffic violation fines in Opendatabot – or subscribe to free monitoring and receive information as soon as it appears in the registers. If a fine is not paid within 15 days, its amount doubles.
