During the latest night-time attack, railway staff worked around the clock to ensure the safety of trains and passengers.

During the latest large-scale missile and drone attack on Ukraine, the railway infrastructure operated under heightened security conditions. According to the Joint Stock Company “Ukrzaliznytsia” (JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”), monitoring teams worked in an enhanced mode throughout the night to ensure the safety of dozens of trains.

For safety reasons, train services were temporarily suspended on certain sections, and passengers and train crew members were evacuated. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of railway staff and the actions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, no fatalities were reported.

At the same time, there are reports of injuries resulting from a drone attack on railway infrastructure. The incident occurred in the Kharkiv region, where debris from the drone damaged a commuter train’s locomotive. The driver and his assistant were injured — medical assistance was provided to them directly at the scene.

In addition, due to the prolonged air raid alert in Mykolaiv and the resulting suspension of services, some trains are currently running with delays. Ukrzaliznytsia advises passengers to check the latest timetable via the uz-vezemo service.

Despite the difficult conditions, rail services continue to operate, and train services are not being suspended.
