Nike has unveiled smart slippers with a heating function and foot massage
This was announced by Nike.
The straps of the Air Zoom Hyperslide slippers feature removable magnetic modules with three heat settings and three vibration settings. One recovery cycle lasts 15 minutes, with a maximum heating temperature of around +47 °C.
According to Toby Getfield, the company’s senior director of athlete innovation, the Air Zoom Hyperslide helps athletes relax, recover and prepare for their next training session more quickly.
The modes can be controlled using the buttons on the module itself or via the Hyperice app. Sales of the slippers will begin on 29 September — the new product will cost $249. They will be available on the Nike and Hyperice websites, as well as at Best Buy and Dick’s Sporting Goods in the US.
The Air Zoom Hyperslide is the second joint product from Nike and Hyperice following the Hyperboot — a high-top smart shoe that combines heating with air-chamber massage. The companies view such devices as a new category of sports footwear.
