NABU searched Kholondovych’s car in connection with the Stefanishyna case
This has been reported by “Slovo i Dilo”, citing rulings by the High Anti-Corruption Court, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court and sources within the anti-corruption authorities.
According to the investigation, Stefanyishyna may have acquired de facto ownership of a 99.8-square-metre flat, several non-residential premises and a parking space in the “Lvivska Ploshcha” residential complex in the capital.
Detectives are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the purchase of two further flats in the “Faina Town” residential complex. The investigation believes that lawyer Ivan Kholondovych may have provided assistance in the registration of this property.
Separately, NABU is investigating Stefanyishyna’s use of a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC 220d between 2021 and 2025.
What was found during the search
The search was carried out in a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover used by Kholondovych. Detectives seized two mobile phones – an iPhone 16 Pro Max and an iPhone 17.
The court has seized both devices. They have been recognised as material evidence in the criminal proceedings.
This is a procedural step within the framework of the pre-trial investigation. The materials made public do not prove the illegal origin of the property or the guilt of Stefanishyna and Kholondovych.
Stefanishyna’s mother’s flat
In June 2025, hromadske reported that Stefanishyna’s mother, Nadiya Kravets, had purchased a three-bedroom flat measuring 99.8 square metres in the ‘Lvivska Ploshcha’ residential complex in October 2022.
The value of the flat stated in the documents was 3.04 million hryvnias, or approximately 83,200 dollars at the exchange rate at the time. Journalists established that at the time the property was registered, the developer’s minimum price for three-bedroom flats started at around 12 million hryvnias.
Stefanyishyna later explained that her parents had invested in the development back in 2019, when a square metre cost 29,000 hryvnias. According to her, the flat was purchased on an instalment plan, and the completion of the registration process in 2022 did not reflect the actual timing of the investment.
According to hromadske, in 2024, Nadiya Kravets’ husband also purchased a parking space and two non-residential premises in this residential complex. The total value of these properties as stated in the contracts was around 650,000 hryvnias.
What is the status of the case?
At present, this concerns a line of inquiry being pursued by NABU investigators, which is being examined as part of a pre-trial investigation. The available materials contain no information regarding Stefanyshyn or Kholondovych being served with a notice of suspicion specifically in relation to this case.
The seizure of mobile phones and the imposition of a freeze on them does not, however, imply a finding of guilt. In accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court verdict.
