Ukraine will not set a fixed date for the end of the heating season. The decision to turn off the heat will be made depending on the air temperature. The authorities assure that there are sufficient resources for a stable end to the season.

In Ukraine, the end of the heating season will not be tied to a specific calendar date. The decision to stop supplying heat will be made depending on weather conditions.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba during a briefing after a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council.

According to him, the main guideline will be the air temperature.

"Regarding the heating season, I will say that thanks to the work of the Prime Minister and the First Deputy Prime Minister, we have enough resources to end the heating season not according to specific dates, but according to the temperature regime," Kuleba said.

He added that, if necessary, heat supply could be continued until at least mid-April.

"We are ready to work until 15 April, that is, we will be guided by the weather," the government official said.

Thus, in the event of a cold snap, heating may not be turned off even after the traditional end of the season.

During the meeting, they also discussed the resources available for a stable heating period.

"This means that we are ready to complete the current heating season in a stable manner," he said.

The government assures that the energy system has sufficient resources to complete the heating season without interruption and is ready to respond to changing weather conditions.
