Over the past 24 hours, 159 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. The highest level of activity by Russian forces was observed in the Pokrovsk sector.

As of 08:00 on 23 April 2026, the 1,520th day of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine is underway. Over the past 24 hours, 159 combat engagements have been recorded.

The enemy carried out the largest number of attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. Here, Ukrainian defenders repelled 36 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, Toretske, Rodynske, Filiia, Shevchenko, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Muravka, Kotlyne, Udachne and in the direction of Kuchero-Yar.

Intense fighting also took place in the Kostiantynivka sector, where 20 attacks were recorded in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultynivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka and in the direction of Novodmytrivka. In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy carried out 16 attacks.

In other sectors of the front, the number of combat engagements was lower. Eight attacks took place in the Oleksandrivka sector, seven in the Kupiansk sector, five in the Lyman sector, and four in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector. Two attacks were recorded in both the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk sectors.

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursky sectors, the enemy carried out air strikes and conducted over a hundred shelling attacks. In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy advanced towards Novoandriivka, whilst in the Dnipro sector, it carried out four assault operations.

Ukrainian forces continue to repel the enemy’s advance and inflict losses in manpower and equipment.
