Pahlavi took part in an international forum in Odessa
The Black Sea Security Forum is taking place in Odesa from 29 to 31 May and has brought together politicians, diplomats, military personnel and experts from various countries around the world. Among the guests at this year’s event are US senators, representatives of European states and international organisations. During the forum, Reza Pahlavi met with participants and joined the discussion on security challenges in the Black Sea region.
In March, Pahlavi met with Zelensky
Reza Pahlavi is the eldest son of Iran’s last shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Following the 1979 Islamic Revolution, his family left the country, and he himself became one of the most prominent figures of the Iranian opposition abroad. In March 2026, Pahlavi met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. At the time, the parties discussed the situation in Iran, events in the Middle East, and support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
As a reminder, The Public previously reported on the opening of the Black Sea Security Forum in Odesa, which this year brought together over a thousand participants from various countries around the world.
